Ulster’s new Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Blackboard Learn, is now available for all staff, with your Semester One 2010/11 modules available in the environment. You can access this at http://blackboard.ulster.ac.uk (log in using your Active Directory username and password).
You can now start preparing your course areas for teaching in September 2011. There are a few things to revise in your course due to the migration process, along with the normal annual checks of content, whilst also ensuring compliance with Ulster copyright guidelines.
From mid August, you will be able to complete the Module Access Request form at http://athens.ulster.ac.uk/ModuleAccessRequest/ to trigger the usual annual rollover to the new academic year with associated CRNs.
A Blackboard Learn course support area will be available soon in the new Blackboard Learn environment to help you with preparing your course. Information is also available from the Blackboard Learn Information Point at http://ulster.ac.uk/bbinfo.
Bespoke Blackboard Learn training is being delivered to each School over the coming months. If your School hasn’t already booked training, please contact Colette Murphy at firstname.lastname@example.org to organise this.
