Blackboard Learn - Known issue with Internet Explorer

Some users accessing Blackboard from within Ulster's managed desktop environment may be experiencing a 'Module Information - temporarily unavailable - please reload page' error on their welcome page. Further information is available at Module information is temporarily unavailable

Important!
Blackboard and Turnitin Update: Blackboard will be unavailable from 5:00 am on Saturday 17th June 2017 until 9:00 am on Sunday 18th June 2017 to allow for an upgrade. Our current version of Turnitin will also be upgraded to Feedback Studio on 17th June to coincide with the Blackboard upgrade.

This is the home of the Blackboard Learn Support wiki space. It is a support area detailing common Blackboard issues and solutions, as well as guides to help staff and students get the most from Blackboard. All current topics are listed in the panel on the left hand side of the screen. The main wiki sections are also linked to at the top of the screen.

Top Tips

1. Students please read the start of term checklist. Staff should read the Start of Term Staff Checklist.

2. Check that your browser is compatible with Blackboard Learn 9.1, Select Browser Checker

3. Blackboard Learn is available via the portal (http://portal.ulster.ac.uk) or directly via the web address https://learning.ulster.ac.uk.

4. Staff should use the Module Access Request system to request access to a module, migrate content between modules or request a Support Area.

5. If your module contains ShareStream videos you will need to migrate these. Full instructions are available on our Migrating Share Media Assets page.

6. It is important that new and returning students sucessfully complete their Online Enrolment, only registered students (status RE) will gain access to University Ulster systems (Blackboard Learn, Portal, e-mail).
